The Marriage of a Sociologist
The novel is the story of a young married couple who try to make families and societies in the face of the wicked temptations of power. Orwell was writing about this kind of like 1950s-ish thing 10 years before such things would become really common in the Cold War. He's very aware of both communism and fascism, although we can talk about what he goes wrong with there later on. In that sense, not dissimilar in certain ways from the lefty, Georgia Orwell, 1984.
