Gene Seymour: Kumari and Dilo are both gender nonconforming in some way. "We're queer, we're from the other hemisphere, we're Sri Lankan, Tamil," he says. The pair met at a show by actor/comedy writer-turned-actor Dilo Dubs. They've been friends ever since.
