The Effects of Isolation on Mental Health
People that are socially isolated can experience hallucinations because the lack of stimulus causes people to have internal thoughts. People in total isolation also oftentimes feel like there's a ghostly presence or someone that watches them. An isolated person usually has low self esteem, usually has loneliness if they allow it to get to them and they're not productive with it. And so exposure to daylight can for some people who've been held in isolation against their will may develop a long term mental health conditions like PTSD.
