The Core Experience of Climbing

Climbing is like an emotional rollercoaster for new climbers. You still feel like you're not good enough, that you kind of suck and that you could be doing better. The grades are so tricky because we live by them but at the same time paradoxically say they don't matter then turn around and they do matter. It's just a warning to everybody: Your misery will continue at all levels of climbing.
