Maintaining and keeping your muscle mass is an important part of staying insulin sensitive because muscles are one of the key mechanisms to use up that free floating glucose inside of the body. Our population set seems to have a little bit of a predisposition towards insulin resistance. And so if we can shift around to focusing on muscle health, we can correct the problem, and that will help us avoid the issue of obesity.
