What's the Difference Between a Win and a Loss?

In San Francisco, they started tying office development to residential and obviously zero people were making residential because you just can't build there. So it just kind of compounded on itself to the point where like you'd have all these buildings. This is before COVID, obviously, but every building would be pre leased like four years before it's being delivered. You just knew the market was so saturated that it was almost impossible to not go up until, until work from home. And basically what we learned is just a lot of the unsophisticated owners are smarter than many real estate investors who operate at lower margins.
