The Optics of Bitcoin
Bitcoin is perceived as a full on truly libertarian to the point of almost, you know, exist systems altogether. I'm mystified by there's agreement both among hardcore Bitcoiners and also the Bitcoin's most severe critics that it is somehow married to libertarianism. And if your philosophy is committed to not allowing people to send value to one another or not allowing to be able to save in a way that a central bank cannot debase, then it will be against Bitcoin. But fundamentally, I do think this narrative is caught up in a very Western centric view of the world which is not shared by everyone.
