Miyamoto's Influence on Nintendo
Miyamoto was given an interview with Nintendo as a favor because his dad was friends with Hiroshi the then president of Nintendo. He wasn't a particularly fantastic student he was a little whimsical and you know like just not someone who was like I'm going to get into the top design firm and put my mark on everything. His sense of design and his focus on controllers is so interesting there were other suggestions like calling the buttons 12 o'clock 3 o'clock 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock can you imagine if they went that route it would be hard to read.
