Sally Kohn: It's almost like it can be perceived as tragic when you sort of get punished for being in some ways wiser and noticing the problems before everybody else. But then you get judged culturally and then you sort of like, it's almost like this reinforcing dynamic that pushes you into even more maybe unhealthy behaviors or patterns. She says her parents were complicit in things that I knew were not shown to me accurately as a child. So what I'm a bad Mormon, I don't want to be associated with this anymore anyways.
