The Pathophysiology of Ludwig's Disease

Dental infections cause about 80 to 90 percent of cases. Ludwig's can also come from any other nytuses in that space, including paraffungal abscess and mandibular fracture. The connective tissue in the floor of the mouth contributes to the rapid spread of Ludwig's. Alarm bells obviously just really go off with oral forinjial pain, drooling or ability to tolerate their own secretions.
