The Different Properties of Quartz Glass

Glass can theoretically be made out of just about any substance as long as you cool it quickly enough to prevent the crystallization. The earliest known glass making was about roughly 6000 years ago before iron smelting. But traditional glass is made from quartz sand soda ash, I say soda ash, but that's really just like sodium, right? Like it's a and limestone.
