The Discipline of the Conservative Parliamentary Party
It would be quite an achievement for Sunak if he does manage to quieten them down and impose a discipline in the build-up to an election. I think both you and I see a pattern in a way in the Conservative Parliamentary Party that it's not really wholly by chance that the turbulent events of recent years were unleashed. There are clearly some underlying structural problems that the Conservative Party has, particularly in terms of its discipline within Parliament. You can point to the fact that David Cameron became leader after just four years in parliament. That probably has sent a signal to many people in the Conservative party who have leadership ambitions themselves.
