The Beauty of Growing Up in London
Most of my immediate family, they all live in London. We still go to Ireland quite a bit when I was younger. My dad came from Istanbul and like very much carries that identity with him. So on one side, my mum's family was Catholic and my dad's Muslim. And those two things alone are like, this is very different. As you do get older, you realize there is an individual self that exists alongside those things. It doesn't necessarily dictate everything in my life. Writing music always helped me stay kind of sane because it's like, that's my own thing kind of just for me in a way.
