We feel gleeful that this person with whom we don't agree has been caught up. We can dis-sociate, we can dis-allow or disavow whatever it is in ourselves that we've projected onto that person. To be the one who is pointing it out in a large theater affords them a certain kind of status. But unfortunately, there's also status and power that the person who is the accuser, the shamer, becomes slightly dangerous.
