The History of the Athenian Doves
The policy of the doves was to maintain peaceful relations with the Spartans and to wage war on the Persians. There is little doubt that themistically's was the leader of the Athenian hawks, but he became a trouble for being too much of a maverick. His legacy though, would be built upon by his infamous son, Pericles.
