The History of the First Bulgar Empire

The first bulgarian empire was established in around the year six 81, in lands formerly controlled by the byzantines. The slavic peoples shed into the balkans by this geographical shift, are distinguished as the south slaves. Their ancestral chieftain, kubrat, is suggested to have been baptized in constantinople in or around the reign of emperor heraclius. Despite the fact that the bolgars had effectively stolen byzantine lands, there were positive connections between the two peoples on the international radar.
