The Story of the Lumia Brothers
In 1897, the Lumia brothers were making animated films in Paris. Thomas Edison was not happy with their work because he had his own film studios nearby. They got arrested and sent back to France from the U.S. after they tried filming in New York's Central Park. And so strangely enough, what happened was that the Lumia brothers basically decided that they were better off making the machines and selling the machines.
