Is the Lidymide Safe?

Lidymide went on sale across Europe in early 19 57. The drug killed two babies, one of whom had a congenital heart defect. One doctor treated forty children with huge doses of thalidymide over extended periods of time. Some kids received 20 times the recommended dose.
