Michael Green's Comeback for the Tigers
Michael Green has made a huge comeback for the Tigers. He retired at the end of the 71 season, had a young family and a solicitor. So very busy with his work. The story goes that the day after the morning after the 1972 grand final defeat, the shocked defeat when we went in his red hot favorites, equalled the winning score in a high school, and Carlton got 27 points more. Anyway, he did make it come back. And his start to the 73 season was really, really impressive. There was an article in the age by Peter McFarlane who was alerting football right at the time with the age. It actually didn't mention smokey. How smart is it
