The Protests Are Killing a Lot of Black Voters

News week reports that 74 % of americans either fully or partially approve of protesters burning down minneapolis police stations. And presumably these numbers are a lot higher for democratic voters and black voters than they are for other voters. This is happening during corona viris, when budgets are already taking a major hit to begin with. One thing that isn't being talked about much is why do police have so much power? Why do cops routiney murder and abuse black and brown people and poor white people and mentally ill people on a regular basis and get off without criminal penalties or serious consequences?
