The Challenges of Supporting a Small Language in Africa
I was very surprised to see like support for like Amharic is really low. Despite them being a language with like 50 million speakers, it's not like exactly a small language. There's just not a lot of support out there. So I kind of feel like there's a technology gap between the global north and the global south. And so I'm often able to go and essentially just find whatever languages I haven't gotten yet on tandem. That way these people have more people to speak with essentially.
