The Protestant Ethic

There are two or three serious objections to the protestant ethic. One is that capitalism appears elsewhere where there is no protestantism. In scotland, for example, developed capitalism very late, but it's a calvinist country. And then you have another body of objections which look at how puritans lived their lives in practice.
