The Dangers of Disgust and Food

There are a lot of dangers precisely because we think of disgust as something that is an evolutionary given. That's what makes disgust as an emotion for me so ethically troubling, even though there are ethicists who make the argument that we can rely on the experience of disgust to guide our moral reasoning. David Perry: Disgust serves to hide the social contingency of what we find disgusting by making divisions seem natural.
