The Importance of Acceptance
In the wake of my uncle David's death, I shared some stories about my uncle David. What I didn't consider is how sometimes talking about someone reflects to the other people in my life who loved them. That was my grandmother's son. She is in mourning. There are things about him that she just doesn't want to hear or talk about right now. So when I talk about somebody, it comes within an acceptance for me of who that person was and the feeling and the knowledge that I love them anyway.
