I think coming right up out of the voluntaristic shift in late medieval early modern philosophy to the contemporary period, the volunteristic God has morphed. Now along with Derrida, I would say the most influential of these critical theorists is Michel Foucault. What stands at the heart of his philosophy? All these claims to truth and to goodness and to value it. There's nothing objectively right or wrong about any of that. It's all finally about power.
