Is the Local Authority in a Position to Fund a Child's Treatment?

When you have a guardian appointed for the child, the guardian can ask for an assessment. But legal aid agency does not cover treatment. The local authority may be in a position to fund some therapy. Local authority resources are absolutely stretched to the maximum. And certainly as a matter of principle and a matter of course, local authorities do not generally pay for therapy either.
