The History of Cotton

Cotton was domesticated in modern-day Mexico and Pakistan. It spread across both the old and new worlds before Columbus set sail. During the Middle Ages, it was grown in North America, South America, Africa, and Asia. But it didn't grow in Europe, at least not most places in Europe, where the climate is too cold.
