There's been a significant increase in reported levels of mental health issues among adolescents. Scientists are arguing that future studies should consider who young people actually are and how where they are in terms of their development could influence the potential impacts of social media use. Amy Orban is an experimental psychologist from the University of Cambridge here in the UK. She says we have considered adolescents as being one homogenous group. But for the last five to 10 years, we have seen adolescents at the sensitive group,. This group we really want to understand and study because it's important for us to safeguard them and to support them.

In the past, increasing the speeds of electronics required designing smaller components, but further reductions in size are being hampered by increasing resistance. To get around this, researchers have demonstrated a ‘metadevice’, which prevents resistance building up by concentrating the flow of signals into specific regions of the device. The hope is that this meta-method could be used to create even smaller electrical components in the future.
