How to Be a UX Designer

I hope you're coming away with the understanding that really great visual design will not save your software from a bad user experience. I also want to stress that I am not trying to say that everyone is a designer or that I'm trying to democratize design and take design away from the designers. All of those things that we do as designers, product managers and engineers have an effect on the user's experience. Remember, you're more than a designer because there's more to UX than a design.
