The Importance of Pragmatics
Roxanne Jones: Pragmatics might emerge actually as Christ hypothesized from more general processes of what he would have said, kind of collaborative action maybe. She says when models are trained to complete that goal or help you achieve that goal in dialogue, maybe that's a fundamentally greysian kind of training. Jones: We were trying to figure out what it might mean to infer somebody's intention in context based on the language that was used.
