The clam at the river dams will finally be removed by 20 23, restoring salmon access to more than 400 miles of habitat. The damns have been on our river for round a hundred years and in that time frame, we've seen salmon runs dwindle into nothing. These are opportunities to connect local humans, local people of northern california, to the importance of why we should respect this place. Every time there is a salmon that cannot be caught by someone up here, that's an opportunity that somebody loses to be connected to this place. We're still fighting for access to our fishing grounds.
