Early animation is very, very unkeaton-esque. It's like, I love those 30 seconds and then it kind of fucks up the rest of the movie. This is also a reference to Gertie the dinosaur. A cartoon from 1914, right? It basically cut as the first major piece of screened animation. Is it stop motion? It was hand drawn. But part of this routine was Windsor and Cape would go around and project this and interact with Guri in real time on stage.
