The Fugitive's Filming Locations

The train crash was not filmed in Chicago or even Illinois as reportedly no train companies wanted to be associated with a train crash. The maze of tunnels in which Lieutenant Gerard chases Kimball from the mountain tunnel to the dam were constructed in this warehouse at a cost of $400,000. One scene has Richard Kimball renting a basement room and a rundown building from a woman and her adult son who both I him suspiciously. March 17th 1993 was a big day for filming in Chicago. Not only did the fugitive film that day along the actual parade procession but the Aiden Quinn Madeline Stow film Blink was also filming during the chilly morning.
