A Higher Score Is Better Than a Lower Score
The top six countries in the index this year were Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore and Sweden. The worst scores, the most potentially corrupt areas Yemen, Venezuela, South Sudan, Syria and Somalia. Western Europe and the European Union had the highest regional average regional score of 66. Sub-Saharan Africa had the lowest with 32.
