What Is Renewable Energy?

Solar and wind energy make up a tenth of all of the electricity generated around the world. We currently get most of our renewable energy globally from hydropower, or the generation of electricity through the flow of water. What's changed in recent years is that technology has become more efficient and cheaper. The cost per square meter of a panel is about the same as if you hired somebody to come in and paint your house.
