The Poverty Metric in the Fifties
There was no darned poverty metric in the fifties. It just didn't exist. Once you have a number, you have to do something about it. We and of course, it's complicated ean the way we measure it. Now i believe it's just based on income, but that doesn't mean poverty. Like a ten ager could have a very low income living with his parents, and be considered in poverty. A senior citizen who's basically retired, but maybe has some income, would be considered in Poverty. But of course, isn't, because if maybe savings or social securitye.
