How to Create a Community Around Shared Interests
Sally Kohn: I want to introduce both where community are empowered to create their own little subgroup that are interested in fiction novels or whatever. This is where it's really important not to be top-down, in my opinion, because the advice I give to most people starting their communities is exercise as much restraint as possible. When you do want to have these interest groups, I think they should evolve organically from requests from the community. And when the community requests them, you should try to anoint that requester and incentive to govern that space.
