Jihad on Western Jihad

Frank Herbert and Jack Vance famously co-owned a Houseboat in the Sacramento River Delta. The trio lived there with their families in the summers but it didn't go anywhere because I had never quite figured out how to get a diesel engine started from scratch. But anyway yeah I think the lesson there is if you are going to have a Houseboat have it in California in the summer not in British Columbia in the winter that would be a good start.
