The Role of Process in Oversight
When we, as citizens call for greater oversight of something, it's the right instinct when something fails, what went wrong, we should ask. We are creating more risk aversion and making our government less capable of meeting our needs in the model that currently exists. And I like what you're saying about like pushing the veto points towards the edges of the system instead of at the middle where it's like, look, there is some kind of over overarching thing to be done.
