The Confluence of Gender and Sex
When I wrote the first edition of my book, I gave a very simplistic sort of like gender is your internal sense of who you understand yourself to be. And then sex is essentially just what's between your legs, right? So that was how we were talking about it for a long time. But as more and more scholars were kind of like, you know, pulling those threads apart, it was like, well, maybe even that is not the best way to present what gender looks like.
