In 1953, there was a study by the American Medical Association which really changed the understanding of the development of heart disease. They looked at 300 autopsies on American casualties in the Korean War with an average age of around 22. And they found that 77% of soldiers at just the age of 22 on average had visible evidence of the coronary plaque. That's it. Some even had arteries that were blocked off 90% or more. So from the age of 10, this starts building up. You're not going to have a heart attack until you're 50, 60, 70, but it started back at age 10. It's something that can happen with very sudden death after the first symptoms
