The Importance of Integration Tests

integration tests get a lot of a bad name from people because they're often considered slower than unit tests. But the idea of an integration test is that it actually works against a fully running system. And I wrote a very large suite of integration tests at Avilera. Those integration tests caught all sorts of interdependencies that unit tests couldn't see.
