New York City was once seen as a place where social welfare was part of the way cities were built. A civil right started to scare white people enough that they would actually commute an hour to work, and all the things that went that kind of went along with it. But also, this isut new york is where stonewall happened. This is where urban renewal was first kind of practice. And robert moses had een experiment on a whole generation of poor people.
