Some parents are willing to pay up to $4,000 to get their daughters into sororities. I'd be more inclined to say that's actually some of the better money spent because your daughter gets to make a bunch of good friends and be part of a fun group. You could be paying several hundred thousand for the actual tuition and room and board so 4,000 more bucks goes and gives you a much better social experience.
