The Pyreneists, I Think, Are Quite Important, Right?
People are quite well aware by the early 19th century that there are some problems with language, right? And Nietzsche, whom I've quoted before, I think it's in the gay science as saying, all concepts equate the unequal. He's seeing that there is a kind of problem in this level of abstraction. Abstraction is another way that I think the Pyreneists are quite important, because they make this division between evident and non-evident matters. So even though already in antiquity, they're kind of made fun of for potentially not having a view about whether they should get out of the way of a cart that's oncoming.
