Theme Writing

Benji: In Narnia the different characters exploring different morals or ideas are actually part of the same theme they're just making different arguments about it and that's one of the things we were talking about at the beginning of the podcast. Benji: I think there is an inherent danger to trying to have something heavy-handed shoved down your throat because it often does come off as very pretentious. He says a strong theme has a bunch of self-sufficient elements that are interesting or substantive unto themselves whereas a week one might be very self-serving where it's stuff included just for the sake of what the author meant to convey.
