The theory of memory is that information stored in the brain by physical remodeling of synapses. EDS points out that you're working in that literally as we're speaking, because you're setting up that. There's still debate over whether that's sufficient for preserving memories. But if you're not going to use those bigger, and they might be totally obscure, then maybe there's some redundant system or maybe there's a lacunas right? If you get rid of them, depending on how big they are, you'll probably have too much trouble with it.
