Is the Fed Owning 30% of the US 10 Year Bond Market?

QE3 had to end because statutorily, the Fed wasn't allowed to buy any more US 10 years. They were at 70% of the total issuance. So that's why QE finally ended,. Same thing I think in the 30 years, I don't know if they ever got up to 70%. But they own a tremendous amount of long data securities. That's where most of their portfolio is. It's also what the market wants to buy collateral at this point. Go look at the 210 spread, even though he keeps saying Powell wants to raise it.
