Researchers have used images of these brains from brain imaging data banks in the UK and Australia. They found that the brains of parents were what researchers called younger looking. And if you think about it, like it makes sense, parenthood is full of these intensely social ever changing cognitive challenges. So maybe parenthood is like doing a really great brain boosting crossword puzzle for several decades.
