One of the cruellest things that we learn from wearing clothes is that our bodies change, ar that we face this everyday attrition. We're changing all the time, and our clothes are always alerting us to how mutable we are. Painful when you realize that you can't wear the thing that you once wore, or that you don't see yourself now as you once were. But that's a vulnerability that we share with other people. When we extend our imagination to the possibility of other people's, that's the basis of ethical relationships.
